Dean Johnson

Dean Johnson is responsible for all aspects of SDI’s business, including planning and implementation of yearly growth programs. He has a remarkable record of success since being appointed as General Manager in December 2006, and is held in high esteem by his colleagues. Dean is definitely “hands-on” as leader of the Management Team. With in-depth experience and an expertise in technology, Dean played a major role in leading the introduction of Systron Donner Inertial’s first Quartz MEMS high-precision (1°/hr) tactical guidance IMU. Prior to accepting his appointment at Systron Donner, Dean held a similar position as General Manger of Inertial Products at Crossbow Technology for six years, including membership and advisor roles in US export committees. Dean also served as Director of Tactical Guidance Products at Honeywell for four years. Dean holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
