Systron Donner Inertial Honored for Pollution Prevention Activities
Walnut Creek, CA - Systron Donner
Inertial (SDI), an operation of Schneider Electric and a global business
unit of Custom sensors & Technologies (CST), announced today it was recently
named a recipient of the annual Pollution Prevention Awards given by the
Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD).
Systron Donner Inertial was recognized for
its comprehensive waste minimization practices; detailed hazardous waste
disposal training for employees; extensive steps to prevent spills from
entering sewer or storm drains; and a vigorous reuse and recycling program.
CCCSD conducts the award program each year in
conjunction with National Pollution Prevention Week (the third week of
September). The goals of the campaign and CCCSD’s award program are to raise
awareness of the various pollution prevention opportunities available and
encourage activities that protect the environment.
“Systron Donner Inertial has done more than
just comply with water quality regulations,” said CCCSD General Manager Jim
Kelly. “They’ve implemented innovative practices that prevent pollutants
from entering local waterways, and we commend them for helping to protect
the environment.”
